my iPhone 6 is locked due to a malfunctioning screen - the middle of the screen is unresponsive and one of the digits in my entry code was in that area - meaning I couldn't always complete the entry code to access the phone after it had restarted upon running out of battery (it was 'hit and miss' if you pardon the pun). So after a number of attempts failed, my phone locked, and I didn't have iTunes downloaded on my laptop to plug the phone in as instructed on the phone. While trying to get into iTunes, a text message to validate my ID was sent to my phone, which of course I can't access.
Does anyone know what I can do to access my phone and prevent a complete reset?

Are you able to pop you SIM into another handset for a few minutes until the code comes through @AndyMT? If not, are you able to select another way to validate the access through your laptop, such as receiving a code via email?

Hi Mark. Thanks for responding. I will give that a go and respond with progress... it’s important to me that I can access my phone...
