Unable to use internet while on a call

So I’m using 16 pro max while I’m on a call I’m not able to access the internet unless I’m connected to WiFi the 4G symbol disappears when you go back to Home Screen while on a call anyone else having this issue??

This is VoLTE ( when on a call the internet is not available as used for the call ) - if you need internet while on a call then need to be WiFi connected 

This is a pain - as often on a call & need to check something on-line but cant!

( I now have a second SIM - and when on a call = the second sim works for data

I’ve seen there used to be an option to enable this but not in iOS 18 is there a way this can be fixed?

Hi @LeeBfc You should be able to use voice and data simultaneously, let's see if we can get this sorted. 

Please try a Network Reset: go to Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Tap Reset Network Settings again. This will delete all saved APN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections and passwords you've created so you'll need to set them up again.

This is incorrect...

The only reason why you cannot use 4G or 5G data while on a active call is because VoLTE isn't enabled/working/available, so you drop from 4G/5G to 3G or 2G to complete the call. 3G is being turned off and that leaves 2G and data speeds are horrific compared to 3G/4G/5G.

VoLTE is enabled by default on iPhones, but if you haven't entered your mobile number within the phone settings, it doesn't always work.

Open settings, select apps, scroll down and select phone, and where it says “My number” type your number starting with a +447. Then click save.
