After porting my number from o2, i’ve been notified that the porting was successful and have checked the number is linked to my phone. However i cannot send iMessage texts from my number as it is “waiting for activation”. I’ve tried every method i’ve seen online, i’m wondering if it’s a vodafone problem or an apple problem and who i should contact.

Don't know if you have tried the suggestions on this previous thread @noushad2005 https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/iOS/iMessage-won-t-activate/m-p/2718574

The problem may also be the weekend and the feature will activate on Monday.

Thank you, i’ve tried all the methods in the thread you linked however none have worked. I’ll have to wait it out till monday.

Hi, i’ve waited till monday however it still hasn’t activated yet.

I searched on every forum on internet and eventually end up fixing this by enabling iMessage on your iPhone X is a quick and easy process:-

1. Open the Settings app. It's usually represented by a gray gear icon on your home screen.

2. Scroll down and tap on Messages.

3. Locate the iMessage option. You'll see a toggle switch next to it.

4. Turn on the toggle switch for iMessage. It will turn green when enabled.

If you have any problem persist after trying these step, follow for more details assistance below.

If you've tried troubleshooting iMessage activation with no success, it could be a compatibility issue between your ported number and your new carrier, Vodafone. Start by contacting Vodafone's customer support to ensure there are no issues on their end. If they confirm everything is fine, reach out to Apple Support for assistance with iMessage activation. They can troubleshoot any potential issues with your Apple ID or device settings. Also, check out baweja Media.
