Mi 9 Miui 11 upgrade Sim problem

Hi. After waiting for a Miui upgrade for over a year Vodafone has rolled one out today. I've done the upgrade and I am unable to enable my SIM card and hence unable to make calls. Any ideas? TIA

Hi everyone, thanks so much for flagging and rest assured this is something we've been working on with the manufacturer to get you all connected to what you love again. 

To keep you all updated, Xiaomi have advised that a patch is going through final testing through their side and we're looking to verify this from our side today.

All going well, this patch should be with you over the next few days, by next week at the very latest.

Please don't try any troubleshooting steps such as a factory reset or arranging a repair of the phone as once the software is out, this will resolve things for you.

Once we have confirmation that the fix is working and when it can be released, we'll let you know ASAP here.

I have also had the patch and it has made no difference, I have contacted Vodafone who were useless and had no idea. So i phoned Xiaomi and they said they are aware of a problem and they were going to release another patch but could not give a time frame. I said I just had to wait 8 days and asked if it's likely to take another 8 days and he said possibly. I asked to speak to a manager was told it would be requested and could take 72 hours.  Vodafone said a manager would ring me in an hour and that was over an hour ago. Frustrated is not the word.

So, what do we think "end of play today" means, sixish? 23:59ish?

"End of today" means only one with any certainty for Vodafone: "Not a chance at ANY point today"

I am absolutely staggered that this mess is still on going.. Vodafone bagoikd have sorted this out for everyone a long time ago. Disgraceful behaviour by Vodafone

So I'm getting a call today apparently from customer relations will post the outcome guy's

I am still. Waiting for the call I was promised within an hour. Another failure Vodafone.

So just off the phone to customer relations guy has said a new update will be released tonight from xiaomi previous updates work for some but not most hence the new update regards compensation customers affected will get some sort of recompense also I'll get a follow up phone call tomorrow. 

End of the day San Francisco time maybe?

It's almost as dramatic as transfer deadline day this...... If it wasn't so pathetic....

Well my update landed over night..... nope that still has not worked either. It downloaded a sercurity patch. All i want for Christmas is a working phone.
