One number and texting from Samsung Watch 6

I bought one number for my Samsung 6 watch as it said share your data and texts, yet I cannot send texts from the watch unless it's connected via Bluetooth to the phone - which kind of defeats the object!

I can call from the watch when away from my phone, but not text. I'm getting mixed messages from the website and support.

Can I or can I not text/WhatsApp from my watch when away from my phone?

If not, then One number is a bit useless and I may as well get a Garmin!

Certainly! The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 allows you to make calls and send text messages. If the watch has cellular capabilities, you can make calls even without your paired smartphone nearby. To make a call, open the Phone app and dial the number. To send a text message, open the Messages app, compose your message, select the recipient, and send the message. Remember that exact steps may vary based on the watch's software and any updates that have been released since September 2021. For the most accurate instructions, refer to official Samsung resources.

It's frustrating when advertised features like one number and texting don't align as expected. If the Samsung Watch 6 can't send texts independently, it indeed raises questions about its utility compared to other options like Garmin.

It was a pretty annoying error, but I got help quickly after contacting support.
