Samsung S4 Mini Can't log into Wi Fi

Title sums it up.
Problem only started today.
Even when I'm standing next to the Router, it does not log in.
Get message @ top of phone screen to confirm this
Internet working OK on computer with D/Load speed of 33Mb/Sec.
When I go into Phone /Settings/ WI Fi the Icon is illuminated.
Any ideas to cure problem?

Can you try forgetting the network on the device and then setting it up again?

Thanks went into Settings/Connections/Wi Fi/My Hub 6.

It said it was "Connected" but I disconnected & then re connected.

Think it's now OK.

But the WI Fi Icon within a white square is still showing.

Does this advise of problem?

I honestly don't know.  if it's working, I'd be inclined to say not, but you could search online for a device manual and see if that explains the system icons.

This is an old device with limited resources, so that could be an issue.   If the problem recurs, try clearing recent apps and the main app cache.   As apps get larger, you'll find what was originally adequate storage fills up and deleting any apps you don't use to be helpful.
