Hi, I'm new here but I feel I had to join as I am having really bad problems with my mobile internet. Since I took out my new contract 6 months ago I have not been able to use my mobile internet in my area. This wasn't really a big issue for me as I used my WiFi but for someunforseen reasons I have had to give up my broadband so down to solely relaying on my phone.
In some cases I can gat a page to dispslay (after a long time) but most of the time it just freezes of times out. My question is what can I do to sort this I have tried my sim in my old phone and the same situation. I have also checked my are coverage on the vodafone website & it comes up with slow speed:smileysad: is there anyway to improve this?
Please help.
Regards
David

Hi sdp11 and welcome to the eForum
Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with this. I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.
So that we can take a look at the signal situation in your area can you tell me your full postcode and we’ll be happy to investigate this for you.
Thanks

Hi sdp11.
Thank you for your post, I do appreciate the frustration because the internet has become so integral to our everyday lives.
I have checked the postcode you have provided and can see that 3G coverage is very sparse, this would explain why you have had a very poor experience on your device before.
I would like to have suggested our superb Sure Signal would have been a solution; however this does require broadband to operate and provide the household with a full 3G signal.
There is strong 3G signal in surrounding areas.
I appreciate this may not have been the answer you were hoping for as I am unable to offer a solution at this time, however Vodafone are constantly improving our network.
To help us to help you it would be great if yourself and any other customers you know experiencing the same issue in this area can leave feedback on our Coverage Checker so our Network Team can investigate. Once you have inserted you postcode you will have the option on the left to input some feedback.
Many Thanks

thanks for the reply, as you mentioned this really isn't the answer I was looking for I'm shocked nothing else can be done when I joined vodafone I did check my coverage & it said "slow speed" but im not even getting slow speed im getting nothing:smileymad:
I really do wish these things are explained before talking our such long contracts as now im stuck with either no internet or having to fork out on broadband at my house again.
Is it possible to have my mobile internet removed from my tarrif?

Hi sdp11,
When it comes to the internet option on our price plans, there isn’t any way of such to remove this option that would reduce your monthly line rental as the data packs are inbuilt with the minutes and texts.
We can remove the ability to use the internet however, this wouldn’t reduce the monthly cost.
The only other thing that I can suggest would be to complete the coverage feedback for your postcode on our coverage map to see if our network teams can look at local enhancements for the future.
