Purchased this and having nothing but trouble up until now, plugged it into the laptop i was loaning and it installed no problems, had the Vodafone icon showing up in my wireless network detections, could just click it and i was connected. I have now got my own laptop ''Advent Modena M100'' on Windows 7, plugged it in and it installed but isnt showing up the Vodafone icon in the wireless network detections like the old one did, it just displays ''Vodafone Mobile Broadband'' next to dial-up & VPN, i click on it and i get an error message, its trying to dial out for some odd reason..
I then decided to go and download some software to connect with, i have downloaded every version over the last couple of days of Vodafone Connect/VMB and only the last two versions allow me to connect, but after exactly 30 seconds i get booted off and get an error saying make sure nobody else is using the connection, and then the device cant be found. Why is this happening as it worked fine on the old laptop, was just a case of plug and play and i was online. Are there some kind of settings that are missing?.
The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate & i am on a contract not PAYG...

Hi there Pasty82,
Many thanks for your query about the K4511 and your Advent machine.
In all honesty, the fact the dongle works in other machines says to me that this could be a machine issue.
Have you tried uninstalling the dongle completely and rebooting before attempting re-installation?
What version of VMB are you currently using?
What is the error message you see that you mention in your post?
Have you tried setting up a dial up connection, bypassing the VMB software?
If you can get back to me that would be great
Cheers,
Lee
