Strange thing is I have another SS V3 here that's working fine.

Hi GStevens,

Everything looks fine with the registration and the tests that you’ve done.

Can you confirm which two lights are stable orange?

Is the other Sure Signal in close proximity of the one that’s not working?

If you unplug the working version does the second one start working?

James

Thanks for your reply.

The red light is flashing, and the right hand two orange lights are lit.

To start with I get the left hand white light (globe) flashing, and then when I come back to it later the right hand two are lit orange. This sure signal is approx 100m at least from the working sure signal. I shall try unplugging the other to see what happens.

Tried turning the other one off and its made no difference at all.

Is there anything else I should try?

Hi GStevens,

Thanks for getting back to us.

I can see your Sure Signal made contact with the network at 06:06pm yesterday.

Please can you confirm if everything’s now ok?

If not, what light sequence are you now seeing?

Thanks,

Gemma

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I checked the SS again this afternoon after picking up your message and it was still showing the same lights as previously and does not appear to have connected. Is there anything else you could advise? Or is it possible to diagnose where the problem may lie please?

Hi GStevens,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Can you try a Sure Signal that isn’t working with a different Ethernet cable?

Also, can you confirm your speed tests again as the link in your post doesn’t seem to work?

As you already have a Sure Signal that works fine, it would suggest that the connection is fine (providing the line can support both units).

It’s possible that this could be faulty.

Are you using the same type of router for both units?

If not, can you unplug the working unit and place the one that won’t connect in it’s place?

James

Hi,

Thanks for your email. I swapped the two units over and now it's all gone wrong.

SureSignal A (working in location 1) was swapped to location 2 and encounters the same error. One flashing red light, far right hand two lights stable and orange.

SureSignal B (problem as per first post in this thread in location 2) was swapped to location 1, and is now encountering another error. The left hand of the three lights is stable orange, the middle light is stable white.

Could you advise please?

Hi GStevens,

I've checked the Sure Signal with the serial number ending 9777 and it shows it connected to the server last night at 20:45.

It's also detected a move and it's currently provisioning.

Which lights are you currently seeing?

Thanks.

Ian

Thanks for your reply.  I had an email to say it had recognised a move this morning when I swapped it over with the other. I have now updated the records to confirm it is at the same address and will check the lights shown on it later this afternoon and report on any changes.

Could you confirm the status of the SS which ends in 9045 also please?
