Vodafone Protect ? If this try inserting your sim in another phone and request the pin. Another last resort is to perform a hard reset which takes the phone back to the last firmware update but would delete information saved in the phones storage memory.
then please follow the advice I explained earlier regarding inserting the sim in an alternative phone that will accept a Vodafone Sim and request the pin and or perform a hard reset which will take the phone back to when the last firmware update was processed which may help.
