Hello,
I purchased a new iPhone 6 from an Apple Reseller, this was brand new and sealed I sold it New on eBay of which someone purchased it of which it worked fine and then suddenly dropped signal after two weeks of use.
The owner contacted me asking to return it, however he informed me that his local Car Phone Warehouse informed him that the phone had been IMEI blocked by Vodafone UK of which he states he didnt IMEI block it. So I am not entirely sure how it's been blocked.
Anyway I advised him to contact Vodafone Customer services and request it be unblocked as it is not stolen or lost, he refused and said it's my place to do this as I am the supplier.
So question is how can this be resolved, I informed him if he had purchased from a reseller such as Currys or Apple Store he would have to deal with this as he activated the phone from brand new.
Please advise as I would like to resolve this.
Thanks.

Thank you for your recommendation, I have run a checkmend report and it has been blocked. I check with the Apple reseller and they've notified me in writing it hasn't been blocked by them.
So my next question is how can I speak to Vodafone UK about this, as I do not have a Vodafone account or number so that make's it difficult for me to speak with Vodafone.
I just want to establish if the eBay buy is the one who has blocked this and is just trying to return it because he's insurance claimed and is trying to get a refund from me too after claiming insurance.
Thanks.

Yes, the buyer said Car Phone Warehouse said it was Vodafone and provided me with a copy of their report. As he took it for repair there because he thought it was broken only to then discover it's not broken and that Vodafone put an IMEI block on.
I tried to advise him to speak with Vodafone although he's been difficult and just keeps saying he wants his money back.
But I am not sure how I can talk to Vodafone, it just seems awfully strange what's happened and I can't help but feel he's possibly claimed insurance or for another phone and now wants to return the one thats been reported lost/stolen just to get his money back.
I spoke to the Apple shop where the phone came from they said they cannot accept it as a return as its been blocked and the carrier must remove that.
I just wish I could find a way of finding out how to resolve this and prove my point to the buyer on ebay.

Thanks, only problem is I dont have a Vodafone number is it possible to speak to Vodafone if I am not actually a customer?
The buyer claims he is an O2 customer, to be honest I dont know how true that is.

Hi
Me too, I have no idea just all seems rather strange what has occurred.
I have just spoken to Vodafone customer services who informed me they cannot help and to advise the buyer to go to a Vodafone Store.
I will now go back to him.
Thanks,
Mark
