Bad Customer Service

Have had a very bad experience for the past 6 days with Vodafone customer service and my issue is still not resolved. Fed up now. Spoken to more than 15 people on live chat and phone all giving different information and promising things that have not happened. Vodafone love the sentence "wait 24 hours" or "wait 24-48 hours". Looks to me like their service is all scripted. The more this goes on the more people I tell not to join Vodafone. Have also raised many complaints and I doubt they will be looked into as I was told no feedback will be provided and they will be doing an internal investigation. I see Vodafone got fined by ofcom 2 months ago however nothing has changed since.

I do talk to the right people both online and on the phone but they seem to give me false promises and assuring that the issue will be sorted in 24 or 48 or 2 hours but it hasn't come anywhere close to resolving in 9 7 days. Unless you can point me to the direct number for to call the CEO.

Choice is yours.

Doubt it whether you will ever get to speak to the CEO.

If you want to send an email just google Vodafone CEO.

I have already sent am email to him.

On another note. I am now being proactive on twitter and replying to people who say they want to join vodafone with a newspaper article published only a few weeks ago regarding Vodafone being highest complained about company in the UK in order to advise them before they sign up. It is better for people to know this before signing up.

1. How long will you do that for?

2. Will it solve your issue?

3. Price plays a big role on what people choose.

4. Mobile phone now is like utility and there is always churn. Many leave and many join.

The Vodafone Forum team can help you but all this time you have not mentioned once, what the issue.

Other Forums user might not be able to solve your problem but might be able to suggest how to get it resolved. But for that you have to mention what the issue is.

I have had same issues for 2 months now with Vodafone.

Under the consumer act they cannot charge you for a service that does not work.

Best option to get them moving is to cancel the direct debit with bank.

Gets the attention quicker

Went through 12+ online users.

Called to store, and they have told me they cannot help, that other people are in the same boat etc.

terrible service

May I comment.

If a person cancels their Direct Debit with their Bank and bill payments are not paid on time or paid then Vodafone can...

  • Restrict Services.
  • Apply late payment fees.
  • Apply Admin fees by paying manually.
  • Disconnect services.

In the extreme....

  • Apply late payment markers on a persons Credit File.
  • Apply a Default on a Credit File that lasts 6 years affecting future credit applications.
  • Engage Debt Collection Agencies.

This is a common misjudgement and usually ends in tears. An upaid bill doesn't get anyone's attention other than the automated collection systems. These escalate very quickly and whatever the rights and wrongs of a problem, a late payment gets reflected on your credit history and a default, even for a very small amount, will wreck your chance of getting credit in the future.
