Hello, thank you for providing that information, it only supports my case that this device is not fit for purpose. It seems based on experiences of others that this is a handset issue. I will have to see what Vodafone head office say first.

Here is an update that has me more confused than ever but has cured the problem
On Monday I spoke with a nice lady at o2 who admitted they had been having a number of calls about signal issues with the S6 but had no idea of a fix. Even her husband's S6 had only one bar of signal where his previous Samsung's had full bars. I told her my fix.
Next I phoned Samsung and was told by the fella that he had never heard of this problem. He even put me on hold while trying to find out if Samsung had issued a memo about it and apparently not. I really don't believe that.
Finally I decide to search out the data settings from o2 and enter them manually. There was a lot more than was showing in the over the air setting that I had installed but I decided to try the over the air setting again first. I sent off the code by text and the settings arrived and I pressed install. Different from the first time, it stopped after a couple of seconds and a message flashed up "not completely installed" then a second message "install" which I then pressed. All done I reset the phone to LTE and saw two bars of signal plus the 4g symbol.
I made a call and low and behold as it was dialing it dropped to 3g and up shot the voice call bars to full.
I've been testing it all week and the signal has mainly been a poor one or two bars but strong 4g and as soon as I start a call it's doing as it should, dropping to 3g and pumping up the voice signal bars.
So, where does the fault lie, with Samsung or the networks, I'm confused but happy the calls work now.
All I want is that Samsung or the networks make a statement about this issue so at least we the S6 owners would know there is a fix or one is being worked on. I thank Vodafone for letting use this forum as an o2 customer to have a rant about the Samsung s6 edge.
Cheers, Andy.

As an update, I have had three written letters all ignored by Vodafone head office (all sent via recorded delivery), final letter was a letter before action, I contacted their customer care today to get a deadlock letter to escalate this case to the ombudsman, they said they will respond within 5 days with my request

Wow, thought I was alone out there, just seeing this thread.

Worse than dropped calls, I'm getting a lot of missed calls.  I'm at my home office, sat there all day, with full 3 to 4 bars, some calls get through then some calls don't even ring, whilst I'm sat right next to phone. 2 hours later, I'll get a flood of text messages saying I've missed all these calls!  People tell me they went straight to voicemail.

On the phone to vodafone CS, useless, trying all sorts, in the end they put my network mode from 'LTE/WCDMA/GSM' to 'WCDMA/GSM' so now instead of 4G, I now see H+.  This seems to have worked as far as I can tell.  But I've still had a few calls dropped - I thought it was the people the other end - but now it looks like it could be my end.  This is causing very serious problems for me, as I am applying for jobs and I'm missing important calls for jobs and job interviews.  My worst nightmare, if the call drops on a telephone interview.

Vodafone you are making my life a living hell! sort it out!

I was just fine on my old trusty HTC Desire (4yrs old phone!) - at least it did what the main thing you are supposed to be able to do on a phone - make/receive CALLS!

Please try the steps in our Network Troubleshooting thread.

If you're still experiencing the issue after completing these steps, post the template with your answers here and I'll have a member of the team get back to you as soon as possible.

You're not alone, ignore the troubleshooting rubbish the admin's trying to fob you off with, my case is now with the Ombudsman, no troubleshooting will help this known fault that Vodafone refuse to admit.

I have just upgraded from a HTC One M8 to the Samsung S6 Edge and I'm also having problems with calls dropping of, I'm now trying to work out if my handset is faulty or if this is a software issue.

Exactly, that is what I would like to know, is this a network problem or a handset problem.  I am getting a lot of calls with I'm not able to hear the other side but they are able to hear me.  This very frustrating.

I have turned off mobile data and wifi and the problem still persists.

Does Vodafone take any notice of this  forum, it seems to me that they don't [Removed in line with Community House Rules] about their customers.
