Hey,

Im wanting to root my samsung S6 edge, its out of the 1 year warrenty period, but still on contract for another few months.

Am i allowed by Vodafone to root my phone? and if so, do i have to ask for the OEM unlock function to be added to my phone, as i understand some carriers remove this function.

The phone has a 2 year warranty period not 1 year. The phone is yours and you can do what you want with it. But rooting it will void the second year of the warranty.

Hi,

You can root it if you wish but would void the manufacturing warranty if you tripped Knox.

I would suggest if you haven't yet to learn about the Pro's and Con's and what to do If you run into trouble.

xdadevelopers site holds lots of good information too.
