Can't open Facebook I've installed and restalled

This may help. 

"I have the answer, it is so simple: just go to chrome setting, choose "Show advanced settings" then choose the last option "Restore browser settings to their original defaults" and reset the settings. everything will work fine with facebook after that. if you still have problems in viewing the images on Facebook just go to settings again and delete all the browsing history and choose from the beginning option."

No don't download the Facebook app at all. 

Just use your url bar to navigate to it and access Facebook that way in the interim.

Its letting me download but then says not compatible

@Mcpeters Until Facebook update the app it will not downlaod and install so stop trying the app until another update is released.

Until then you will have to use the Facebook website, just as you would use any other website.

If you enter www.facebook.com in your browser's address bar can you see the Facebook log on page?

Messenger should be one of the links on your main Facebook page, third one along from the left.

My image was using Facebook from a PC.

Thankfully both my Facebook and Messenger still work OK from  my iPhones and iPad, but only because I have not updated the apps.
