Placed a web order last week, need to cancel.
Do not already have vodafone number.
Online support unable to cancel my account..
Have rang customer services 3 times. First 2 times I was connected to cancellations where i was automatically disconnected for not having a vodafone number.
The third time my account details were taken and i was connected to someone who immediately disconnected me (perhaps by accident) and did not call me back or email despite having my account details in front of him.
Infuriated.
Cancel my contract.

The Vodafone eforum account credentials are different from a Vodafone contract account so no one could confirm your information from here to take you through security protocols.

When using the Vodafone Landline number key in your Vodafone mobile number after prompted OR if issues exist where the IVR System will not recognise the mobile number or you don't have one then you can opt to ignore the initial prompts to type in the mobile number, and then on approx the 4th request it should then change to ask to input 1 for Payg or 2 for Contract Customers.
General enquiries: Monday to Sunday 8am – 9pm.
A person only has a golden hour to cancel a contract that involves a phone if it's in stock. In those circumstances a person has to let the phone be delivered then reject it or send it back under the 30 day cooling off period.

Please refer to original post; I have rang the suggested number 3 times and vodafone staff have so far been unable to cancel my account during my 14 day web order cooling off period.
Please provide alternate means of cancelling this order or direct line to any vodafone staff member capable of cancelling an account.

The various ways to contact Vodafone are in Contact Us.
As per the information in my signature below I'm a fellow customer like you. You are posting on a customer to customer help forum which is owned by Vodafone Uk.
We have Tech Vodafone Staff who help out where they can but as your login credentials are different here to the ones used to log into your account via myvodafone they cannot confirm who you are or access your account from here.
They have the Vodafone logo next to their name. All posts are read by them.
Hang in there and I'm sure they'll be in touch.
To note a person has a 30 day cooling off period.

The problem you are going to have is once the order is in the system, it can't be cancelled. This means you are going to need to wait until delivery and refuse the delivery or accept delivery and follow the return instruction which will come with the order.
Please remember, being a contract, you need to make sure it is closed down correctly. Vodafone will be sending you some documentation to confirm cancellation by email or letter to the address registered against the order.
You have 30 days after receipt of the order to return the phone and cancel the contract.

Email finally came through with my vodafone number so I was able to cancel using this. Thanks for your attention.
