Hi,
I have the employee advantage scheme discount on my account and have just noticed that my recent bill i have been charged £10.
Can someone please explain why i have been charged for a service i have used for over 6 years or so?? I also never received any communications from Vodafone to explain this was going to happen.
Just to note i have not recently changed anything on my plan or upgraded.

This charge was introduced last year.
How did you renew this? As mentioned in the online page where you reapply for Discount.

The third option at the Bottom needs to be ticked.

I accept that there is a £10 membership fee for the Vodafone Advantage scheme which will be added to the mobile number’s bill after the discount has been applied

It was renewed last september and i do not remember seeing this when i renewed it online.
When did this come into effect then last year?

@Shelly82 The changes came in on 1st August last year.

Running the scheme for our business, I got notification of the changes on July 1st last year, for the changes to launch on August 1st.
That was the changes to the discount bands, what plans count for the new 30% discount level, and also the £10 membership charge.

@Shelly82 It's a one-off payment when you join. If you renew/upgrade your contract each year then it would be payable each year.

It does seem a little odd that the charge is only being added to your account now...
@grolschuk do you have any experience of when the £10 membership fee is added to the bill? I would have assumed it would be in the first month after the discount is applied.

Strange.
It should appear once on one of the first couple of bills after signing up, or re-signing up to VEA on a new contract.
If it wasn't taken at the time for whatever reason, then the systems could be catching up with payments they didn't take... But it's really bad form for not informing you about it if that is the case.
