I've just checked to see if I've been charged for a phone call to an 0300 number and noticed that it said my bill has been paid.
I've checked my bank account and there's no payment showing on there so now I'm unsure as to whether it's been paid or not.
This happened last month and I contacted customer services who informed me that they'd paid it (it turns out they hadn't and the money came out of my bank account and left me overdrawn) and it took a couple of weeks to get the money back.
I've not paid anything towards my bill, I tend to leave it until the due date for the direct debit to come out so is it just a case of waiting until after the weekend for the money to come out?

When you look at your bank balance does it show your balance and then a different available balance which would happen if the funds have been requested.
I would suggest again checking with Customer service on 191 and leave the amount available in your account.

Hi @Ramona1987
Direct debits are not collected over a weekend, if the direct debit is due to come out, it will be taken on the next working day. Unlike a debit card payment where the funds will be ringfenced against your account as an authorised pending payment, the direct debit will be active on your account and the payment will show when the funds have been collected on the due date or shortly after.
03 numbers are not charged as out of bundle, they are part of your inclusive allowance. Should you need to know the cost of calling a number, you can always enter the number on the link below to check the cost, there is also a pdf with a full list of charges.
