De-register sure signal box

Hello,

I am no longer a Vodafone customer and need to deregister my suresignal box so I can pass it on to another Vodafone customer.

The serial number is : 40122926047

Can someone please advise how to do so.

I hope it has been used recently because I have just been informed that if it has not been used for a while, sure signals get barred and will never be able to be used by anyone ever again.

Strange this is not mentioned in any documentation or on the troubleshooting guide.
