Expect the Note 7, from the 19th.

Hey,

For those eagerly waiting for a Note 7, or a replacement. We can expect them around the 19th. This was a statement released from Samsung about 1 hour ago.

They will replace people's handsets before they hit shelves for normal sales.

However, for those that pre-ordered and didn't receive, I'm in this boat, I wonder what's going to happen? Maybe Vodafone or someone could shed some light on this now that it's been announced?

Hi there

There has been no formal announcement from Vodafone confirming this information, so please keep an eye on the statement from them for any further updates.  The latest information can be found here

I will be. The statement wasn't from Vodafone as such. It was from Samsung. I would expect Vodafone to have one tomorrow maybe. I will watch this space.

I realise it was from Samsung, but I was just pointing out that Vodafone haven't released their statement regarding this yet.

I was one of the lucky ones (or unlucky) to have received one early and I don't have a clue what's going on about a replacement.

My only safety tip is to do what I do and charge the phone on the wife's side of the bed.

Sadly with this fiasco I can see me going across to the darkside, Apple have just launched their new iPhone 7 and it looks nice, not as nice as the Note 7 paperweight I currently have here.

I would rather stay with Samsung but this silence is breaking my will, Vodafone have still charged me for the full usage although I haven't managed to use the blumming thing, mainly because it already had a signal problem from delivery before we knew about the battery issues.

Really want to hang it out for a new Note 7 but the lack of support or a truthful answer from Vodafone or Samsung is making me want to jump ship.

More gutted because of the extra accessories I have ordered which will have to be returned like the case with lenses, extra cases and screen protectors, plus the £90 I paid to early upgrade, what a disaster I feel for Samsung but surely keeping their customers informed more is better than losing us by the millions!

@yorkie9668 I imagine that both Samsung and Vodafone are reluctant to give a date that they will have supplies to replace all the devices they have had to replace the batteries in.

Samsung did say "within 21 days" but until they know the exact date I guess that they are mindful of upsetting their customers further.
