Firmware updates for Samung S5/S4

Is Lollipop still the latest firmware being offered to the S5 and S4?

My Hudl2 used to be on Kit Kat and when I upgraded to Lollipop it used more memory and apps had to be deleted.

WIth the Samsung firmware, does this use more memory compared with Kit Kat on the S5 and Jelly Bean on the S4?

Is the latest firmware more stable now?

Many thanks for replies in advance.

It would appear the latest software upgrade has stopped those annoying pop ups

I would say it is probably a coincidence as there are reports online that it was happening on KitKat.

If you are going to try move the contacts up slightly, please be really careful when you do it (I'm sure I don't need to tell you this though)

Hopefully this can be solved without you having to do either of those options.

The S4 appears to have updated well. All good so far.

I'll keep you informed regarding the S5 and the annoying message.

Happy New Year djs1970!

Thanks for posting back - I am pleased the S4 is running okay after the update.

Hopefully you'll get rid of that error message on the S5 soon.

Just for information, The S4 is running 5.0.1 and the S5 5.0.
I'm sure the message will get sorted with time.

Happy New Year to you!

Rang Samsung who want me to send the phone to them. It sounds like they don't know why this is doing this.
I suppose they'll receive it and perform a factory reset?
So this is what I'm going to do. First replace the sview case and put the original back cover back on and see if message still appears. If it does I may carry out another reset. I don't really want to be without my phone, it's an annoying, but minor problem so I might even live with it until my contract ends or until a new update arrives.
