I recently purchased a dongle to get internet on my nice new laptop! i am very disappointed with it! i cant get 3g connection at all and the gprs connection is awful! everything I try to do takes forever and when the page finally loads, theres always bits missing! I chose vodafone because the website says they are the provider of the quickest internet! It said the coverage in my area was very good also. Every time I try to check my bill it takes about 5mins to load and then the option to view it isnt there! My usage is going up and up all the time just because I'm trying to find out how much I have used so far!!! Grrrr! Can anyone help me?!

Hi,try using the extension lead that came with the dongle and also try moving around the house,I cant get a 3g signal downstairs but upsatirs with the dongle bluetacked to the window(I have a long extension cabe) no problems, think of the dongle as a tv aeriel and you will be on the right track.Hope that helps you out a bit for now.

Thanks, I'll try that. I'll still be annoyed if that works though! Don't want to have to sit in a certain corner of a certain room every time I want to go on the internet! I didn't get a cable with mine either so I'll have to buy one. If any of you Vodafone people are on here can you tell me if the signal is good in my area? ME10 4EP is my post code.

Hi Amie1 and welcome to the eForum

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with internet speeds here. I've just taken a look at the 3G coverage in your area and the coverage is a little patchy. However the better signal is of to the North of your postcode in the same direction as the Leisure Centre so if you can point your device in that direction you may yield better results.

Please let me know how you get on with that and if you have any more questions please let me know and we'll be more than happy to help you further

Thanks

Wayne
