Just how bad does Vodafone customer services need to get before they care?

I called Vodafone customer services today to ask when my upgrade was due. The answer "Your upgrade was due 3 months ago'. No one had thought to bother to let me know or give me that option. 

I then was passed to 6 different depts and three software systems over the course of the next 1 hour and 15 mins before someone hung up on me. I gave up at that point.

Of the 5 people I spoke to 4 where totally unqualified to help, hence passing me to one of their collegues, and the last one was just rude.

I've been with Vodafone for 15 years and at one point had 86 staff which were all on Vodafone so have spent literally hundreds of thousnads of pounds with them.

I've always had the attitude of the network providers are all the same so havent made any effort to cheange or look around.

However having seen a few newspaper articles on Vodafones attitude to billing and my own recent experience I think it is now time to move on. Vodafone has clearly forgotten about customer service and does not care for its customers.

I think it would be near impossible for Vodafone to be that pro active and contact each customer when an upgrade became due. That's what your myvodafone is there for. 

 

Personally I prefer to upgrade in a high street store. 

 

That way there is no waiting in for delivery. No slipped delivery dates die to out of stock. And your contract is supplied in hard copy and explained fully. 

 

Please take into consideration that not every Network provides the same signal strengths and Data Speeds everywhere, and in the same area. I assume to this point Vodafone have overall supplied a useable Service. Moving Networks may affect this.

 

However of course your free to move on via asking for a Pac Code if you wish to take your number with you. 

 

I use all the networks. I suggest you check out other network forums as the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
