Mis sold insurance

I had issues when starting my new contract, I wanted to save money and so went for a lower end spec phone and tariff. It took 3 attempts to get the phone and contract completed over the phone due to mis understandings. During this process I asked NOT to have insurance included as \i am covered by my bank account. When checking my account I noticed the amount charged was £9.99 more than the plan I signed up for? On downloading a bill I noticed I am paying the said amount for an insurance policy I did not know I had. Then, on trying to cancel the policy not only did I have to jump through a load of hoops, I then had to listen to a further 2 sales pitches for insurance that I have told him I do not want.

Is there any way I can claim this money back.

Hi @Melnlee

Insurance is sometimes given free a period of time, usually 3 months.  After the free period, if you no longer want insurance, you need to contact Vodafone and give 30 days notice to cancel.

As you have mentioned, this would have been on your bill as something like insurance, the amount and credited back at the end of the bill.

If you have contacted live chat, they will be able to cancel the insurance and advise further.
