Mobile Broadband - pay as go abroad

Hi i work away a little mostly in the uk so i got a pay as you go dongle it is just right for what i use it for (just a bit of browsing at nights)! although i have got a trip abroad (Eu) so will my dongle still work ? what will the charges be ?
i got the dongle around a month ago The model number is k3565-rev2

It says:

Zone 1 - On your phone - Up to £4.99 for the first 25MB
Zone 1 - On your laptop - £9.99 for the first 50MB

... why not make it the same for all users - i.e. up to £4.99 for each 25MB per day - with the current charges laptop users are paying £9.99 even for checking a few emails (i.e. far less than 25MB).
