When i try to connect to the network i get the message
'Mobile connection not possible
Ensure that no other programs are using your selected device, and try again in a short while'
As far as i know there are no other programs using the device.
When i plug it into another pc it connects with no problem.

Welcome to the eForum.
I have found myself in the same situation when using Mobile Broadband, sometimes the device driver gets stuck as though its still connected and can cause this issue.
A quick and easy way to resolve this is to remove the software in Add/Remove programs, restart your computer and insert the dongle again. This process will reinstall the device drivers and you should be able to reconnect no problems.
