New note 8 leaks

DRUIDDOODE

I thought we already had pressure touch on s7 upwards,

But it seems for me it's duration and not pressure sensing

The new note 8 is reported to have pressure sensitive touch.what they are calling 3D TOUCH

Which if true will open an whole world on new features in apps and the way we interact

I'll post the link below as there is a load of info about all sorts of things including some interesting apple leaks

One says the apple 8 will be massive

And as I didn't read it that could mean all sorts of things

But I bet it's something new and exciting

Due to its anniversary

There are some interesting videos on YouTube in connection to the Samsung Note 8 and iPhone 8 leaks in regards to features and specs too.

It's certainly going to be interesting to see what Samsung's approach is going to be with this new Note 8 edition, and to what Apple do with the iPhone 8 and the new features they are going to add - which invariably have typically already been on Android devices for a while or they've adapted from existing jail break tweaks :smileytongue:

All eyes are on the fingerprint sensor placement from both manufacturers or even if Apple will have one at all on the iPhone 8.

Samsung's Unpacked Event and Apples Keynote will certainly be interesting.

If I'm honest the new Firmwares that are in Beta Stages are of equal importance to me too.

Hi BANDOFBROTHERS

From the latest leaked pics I've seen it has dual cameras on the back and so is the finger print sensor amd as a result of the dual campea set up the sensor is closer to the edge

And I presume it's set up for right handed people

So I bet if your a lefty it could be quite a sketch

it does seem a little square due to its width compared to my 7 edge and even more so for your s8

Of which I only  noticed in the shop the other day

for me the s8 is still fresh and will be for sometime

I know they are only phones but the design from the 6 edge up to the 8 the design is amazing compared to the s5 of which I upgraded from

I wish I would of kept it now as good as my s7 is  I struggle to get pictures of the same quality

The low light pictures taken on my balcony at night couldn't be as clear on the s5

but for out and about day time pics when I compare them on Google photos, my old s5 seems better

I'll have to read up on the s7 camera to make sure  I've got it set up correctly.

I choose the most pixel setting as them ratios confuse me.

All the reviews say the s7 was the best  camera before the s8, so I must be doing something wrong.

I recall one of the selling points for the s7 and s7 edge was the camera quality and low level lighting conditions spec.

The pictures I snapped on my s7 edge as far as I can recall were fine with no fine tuning of the specs or in-depth use of the preference settings. I did / do use the Bokeh setting as and when i deem needed.

I'm an occasional / that special moment snapper so no David Bailey :Winking_smiley:

I'm really happy with my s8 which is a powerful feature drenched smartphone.

I'll never rule out changing up to a new phone but only if it brings more to the table and ticks my personal wants and needs.

I don't buy because it's the newest model out. :Smiling:

I've never had the bug of launch dates but I think I've been bitten with this one 🤕

Hi BANDOFBROTHERS

you were right I had auto programmed myself that the 16:9 screen ratio was the higher pixel count and in the past devices I have used it did seem so be the case

But not with the S7 edge without double checking I think it's the 4:3 one that has the highest pixel count also I keep my screen on HD 90% of the Time so that never helped either, forgetting that I had done it to squeeze as much juice out of the battery

Not sure if I like the asthetic of the NOTE 8 as there is the picture of it on the Samsung site

ANDROID POLICE say they have stopped trying to hide it so it's definitely the final design

But it's what the device can do that counts

Although a lot of us do buy with our eyes.

I'll be keeping an open mind :Smiling:

I still think the dimensions will be too much for me however.

Right now I'm thinking of the Samsung Galaxy s9 too but that's another story / future thread.

Hi

About the far distant s9 I had only thought of design and thought how can you better the s8 will be very interesting how it devolops

imo it would be hard to beat the s8 but then I have seen many people pull broken s 7 edge and a few s8 with cracks from drops.

On the corninig website there is a huge statistic that 80% of us drop our devices.

Glass is glass at the end of the day.

But breakthroughs may be made

From my limited understanding Gorilla Glass 5 is more scratch proof but a little more susceptible to breaks. Especially with the new curved edge designs @DRUIDDOODE

Gorilla Glass 4 was stronger but people reported that it scratched more easily !

My Samsung Galaxy s8 ticks all my wants and needs boxes and is a truly powerful phone. As my daily driver I need it to be.

I bought my Unbranded s8 at launch from Samsung and even from the variohs updates to the firmware and the things I've put onto it I've experienced very little lag / stutter / drop rates.

If the Note 8 wasn't as tall as it is I'd be buying one without hesitation.
