New phone but receive texts on old phone

I have just upgraded my phone and gone from an iphone to an Lg. I got it yesterday and after twice doing the online sim swap it has finally connected which is great, but......I can only receive texts and phone calls on my old phone yet lets me send them from new phone....Help as I'm confused about this?!?!?!?!

It's because of iMessage. You need to turn iMessage off on the iPhone and sign out of iCloud.

I have just upgraded from an iphone to an Lg, it has finally connected after having to do a sim swap twice (I've had the phone 24 hrs now) but I am only receiving texts on my old phone, not new, yet can send texts from new phone....confused.com!! Help!!!
