No Service Iphone 5s

Hi,

 

Recieved an Iphone today with a sim card, however on inserting the sim the phone says that there is no service. I am a first time user of Vodafone and on the booklet that came with the sim I was told that it should start working immediatley?

Hi and Welcome to the forum.

Check your masts via https://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/network/uk-coverage-map/index.htm just incase your masts are at fault.

If they are showing as fine then Contract SIM cards typically need activating for them to work.

If you look on the homepage you'll find the link to activate your contract SIM card or try http://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/Error-Pages/wsa-error/index.htm

If you have trouble finding the link or mine shows an error then use the 'Contact Us ' link at the foot of the forum Page to speak to Customer Services or Live Chat for assistance.

You may then have to turn the iPhone off and on or toggle Airplane Mode On and Off to help refresh connection to the network.

When I try to ring the customer support it asks me for my mobile number which I don't know yet as I have no signal to find out what it is. Any suggestions?
