I havent had a signal if i hace it only 1 bar...thus been over 1 week. They uograded us to 4g...but cant get and g

The Vodafone Network Checker >Here< does show you to be in a fringe coverage area.
Can you try soft rebooting your phone by turning it Off and On and try your SIM card in another phone as a process of elimination to rule out the phone or sim card that maybe at fault.
You may benefit from using a Sure Signal which creates a 3G signal in the home which runs off Home Broadband Wifi. Information >Here<
