Notification light not working

If I have a missed call or have received a text the LED notification light on the front of the phone is not on.

If I go to settings -> display -> LED indicator -> notifications all options are ticked.

Does anyone else have this issue ?

Have I missed a setting somewhere?

Hi Crafty.

It's the first time we've seen this.

Does the LED work on any other occasion?

It may be a fault with the handset, and if you're within the first seven days, we can swap this for another if you call our Return Team.

If you're outside of this period, we can take a look in our Repair Centre.

To find out what you need to do in order to get this sorted take a look at our Vodafone Repairs Thread. This can be found here.

The LED shows as blue during reboot/start up, red whilst charging.

I have tested a 3rd party app (lightflow) and that is successful in making the led blink for notifications.

The phone is less than 7 days old. I'll try a factory reset to see if that fixes it.

I got the phone in a Vodafone shop, can I just go there within 7 days and get it swapped?

I've resolved this, if you have account notifications in Gmail turned off it also turns them off for texts and calls

If I understand the previous post correctly, there are two possibilities.   One is to go into Settings|Apps, look for Gmail and make sure that the Notifications box is ticked.   The other would be to check the settings within the app itself.  Give that a go for a start.

Hi carlosn2,

Has the suggestion from Crafty and hrym fixed this, or are you still having issues?

Thanks

Michelle

Hello, yes I checked both within Gmail and in the settings and both boxes are checked..so I really don't know what's the problem.

Hi carlosn2,

I'd try a factory reset to see if this resolves the issue. You can see how to do this here

Make sure to back up your phone before doing the reset.

Thanks,
