Hi guys. Anyone else been advised by ombudsman to go through a solicitor ? They said they usually only get £50-£100 by going through them and I’d be better going down the legal route.

Hi
Has the Communications Omsbudsman refused to take on your case ?
After all they are in place to arbitrate between you and the Network if they believe you have a case.
Has Vodafone issued a Deadlock Letter or not ?
Im in no way legally trained so in all honesty cannot suggest to engage a solicitor and the Fee's that may bring.

No no, the ombudsman were quite happy to take the case. They advised I was due way more than the ridiculous offer Vodafone made ( gesture of good will lol) but that they usually only get £50 - £100 settlements. I’ve lost far more than what I’ve been offered in lost wages, having spent days on the phone to an endless line of Vodafone employees, most of which were so poorly trained it was laughable. And that’s before I was blacklisted for two months with credit agencies for a debt Vodafone fully except never existed. I could bore you with the whole story but you wouldn’t believe it

Hi again @Chris4570
I note in wording "usually only get £50 - £100 settlements" so its not in stone.
I think your going to have to weigh up what the Omsbudsman can achieve to what a Solicitor can do - factoring in solicitors Fee's etc.

It’s a pretty easy case. Vodafone have admitted it’s all their fault. So any of my legal fees will be awarded in costs against them anyway. Was just wondering if Vodafone lowball all their clients knowing that the ombudsman cannot get the justice Vodafone’s victims deserve
