So my current contract started on 29th November 2016 - unlimited UK/Roaming minutes & texts, 12GB UK data, 2GB European roaming data + Samsung S7 Edge for £23.20 a month.
I want to upgrade to S8+ and called Vodafone, but was told I need to pay more than £500 early upgrade fee, which makes no sense.
Does Vodafone have any provisions to upgrade my contract, thus locking me for full 24 months that is financially resonable for both sides? Obviously an increase in my monthly payment is expected.
Because my other options is to sell my phone and buy the new one and the upgrade cost will be roughly £350.
Basically I would rather do it via Vodafone and pay a reasonable amount for the upgrade.
Cheers

Hi @CYPER
Customer Services have recommended the flexi upgrade option where providing you meet the necessary criteria, you will be able to pay an early upgrade charge when you are only 6 months into the contract. This is probably the remaining cost of providing the phone to go with your present airtime contract. There is further information on the flexi upgrade option below.
What’s a Flexi-upgrade and how do I get one?
If flexi upgrades is not an option, the other alternatives are:
Buy yourself out of your present contract and consider selling your phone to recoup part of the cost towards the early termination charges.
Purchase the phone at your own expense and continue using your present airtime contract.
