Hi nem39esis
Thank you for your post.
It’s not possible to include every charge in our terms and conditions as there are so many services that we offer, however we do provide additional information on our help and support page which can be found here.
This does state that the 500MB are added to your current monthly allowance. The billing for this is the same day as the rest of your services as we only bill you once per month.
I trust this answers your question.

"The majority of our customers stay within the allowances"
Well that's what you would like us to believe.
"Although I am unable to comment on other providers often offers such as unlimited data and browsing in the small print have an allowance mentioned"
Can you provide evidence of this? I bet the restrictions aren't as low as 500MB per month.
Compared to the iPhone 4 you have halved the data allowances on the equivalent packages so please stop trying to pretend VF are doing anything to help customers........

Just to put it into Perspective. T-Mobile's Unlimited (Full Monty) and Three's All you can eat data. Does not have any restriction at all. I have a Three iPhone on the One Plan (For tethering mainly) and I've managed to download well over 80gb in a month.

Good Morning nem39esis,
Every part of your priceplan including any extras rolls on a month by month basis, any minutes, texts, data unused don't carry forward.
In this particular page it does mention the packs you can buy are 'extra each month'.
I'm sorry you aren't happy with this decision but as has been mentioned previously, there is nothing further we can add.
Best Wishes,
Kay

The issue is the out of bundle pricing and how it states the following
"What happens if I don’t buy a pack?
If you choose not to buy a Standard or Premium Pack, we’ll automatically charge you £5 for 250MB of UK web access as soon as you go over the data allowance already included in your price plan."
I see no mention in this paragraph of per month? would you not agree?
Again if vodafone could show me terms and conditions that state that this is per month or valid for 30 days i would be greatful. If not, i would like my bills altered to reflect these terms.

Hi nem39esis,
I understand why you may feel that this is misleading however, it is relatively simply.
The page which you are looking on is for customers who already have a data pack built into the price plan and when you go over you are charged for the next 250MB.
The additional data acts as normal data pack on the account as if you had 750MB rather than 500MB for the month then when you bill cycle renews each month unused data is lost exactly the same as your minutes and texts as they don’t roll over.
Due to this the charges on the account will be correct and can’t be removed.

Can someone help me....... I have been billed £30 services for: see screen shot. I am wondering what the charges are for. I use my phone only with WiFi at home or in work. So this has bemused me.
Thanks

Where does it say this? its all very well and good you explaining this but i dont see it explained anywhere? How was i supposed to know this as thats not what it says, it is missleading and i feel i have been missled.
And even though i and otheres have pointed this out to vodafone you still have not altered the information displayed and are effectively continuing to knowingly misslead other customers like myself who have been directed to this page for information on your charges but are presented with incorrect infroamtion.
Are you basically saying that the charges shown are in additon to my monthly price plan and expire at the end of my monthly billing cycle? If so why does it not say this?

Service charges are the charges for whatever montlhy plan you are on and include everything that is included in that plan. Line rental, data allowance, texts and calls. Any unused portions of your monthly allowance expires at the end of your billing cycle, they are not carried forward. That is why it is called a 'monthly' plan.

The issue is that of clarity and presentation of information, at no point does the page mentioned state anything about it being part of your existing monthly plan, it is in addition to this and a seperate item. The terms advertised state clearly that it is per MB and not MB/per monthly cycle. It makes no mention of being related to your existing monthly billing cycle
Whilst all the information presented my mentors and moderators is all very useful it does not excuse the missleading statement and information presented relating to out of bundle allowances.
As asked before, please could vodafone provide a copy of the section of terms and conditions that clearly states that this out of bundle data expires at the end of the monthly billing cycle and that the data cost is for a set amount of MB per month. I wouold be satisfied if this could simply be proven. Otherwise adjust my bill to reflect the terms.
I think this is fair enough?
