Porting number and NO SERVICE on either number now?

I have had no service today on both my business phones since asking for vodafone to port my number from talk mobile to them. I have a business account and need to have it working. When I try to call these 2 numbers from another phone as a customer would it says 'number does not exist'! How long does it take to port the number once they have cancelled both of the network services to them? I can not afford for it to be off for an hour let alone a day!

Appreciate this needs to be as seamless as possible. 

 

When was your activation date ?

 

Unfortunately the Vodafone Team here cannot access Business Accounts. 

 

Live Chat or your Account manager at Vodafone via call should be able to advise. 

 

May I ask have you tried turning the phone Off and On to refresh network connection. And or manually choose another network in your phones settings and then re choose Vodafone.

Thanks for the response but it still isnt working after the reset, and leaving my customers to think im out of business as no such number message when they try. I could lose thousands of pounds potentially which is obviously a real concern. I have called them but they just advise that it must be the porting process. 12 hrs without a phone is far too long for a business.

This could be whats known as a Split Port where one or more of the services are not working as they should. 

 

Customer Services can escalate this to Vodafone Porting Teams if they haven't already. Its something I'd certainly specifically ask when speaking with Customer services.

When you are porting your number your services can essentially be restricted for the porting day (11am - 4.30pm and then sometimes to 8pm). It is not always the case and sometimes the files do transfer more quickly however any agent putting through the port should have advised you of this in advance, at least to allow you to prepare for the lack of service. As @BandOfBrothers states, if the service is still not working on the following day this can be due to a split port and should be reported to the Vodafone Porting Team. Hope your service is restored quickly. 🙂

As you've mentioned it's a Business account you would need to get in touch with your Business support team, as stated by @BandOfBrothers.
