Possible New Sim?

PJamieson

Hi,

I've got a Vodafone 3G USB modem (I believe it's called the Pebble?) I'll find the model number if you need it. The problem I'm having it that after the modem has been connected for a few hours, it losses the connection however the blue light still stays solid as if it was still connected. The modem at this point is very warm and I have to disconnect it and leave it to cool down for about 15 minutes before it will reconnect.

This problem has only started happening and I'm wondering if a new SIM might help? Has the heat of the modem made the SIM go funny?

If so, how do I arrange to get another and is the any cost to myself?

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

The SIM card is very unlikely to be the problem here, but it does sound like your modem is faulty and overheating :(

Luckily we offer a free repair under warranty which will be able to sort this out for you :) You should be back up and running again inside of a week :D

Let us know if you still have problems afterwards :)
