after i reformatted my computer over and over about 10++ times i realised it is caused by opening .exe application that havent yet register to your computer (or you just direct copy n paste from somewhere), when those kind of application runs, commonly it will write registry code to somewhere else which cause vodafone software malfunction

software tested:

note: all of those are just direct copy and paste or download to my laptop and caused 0xc000007b error after i open it
Warcraft III, Counter Strike:Condition Zero*, epsxe 1.6.0 (PSone emulator), Nestopia (NES emulator), M.U.G.E.N. (fighting game engine), Assassin's Creed*, Dell WiFi-wireless installer (the only installer could cause problem) and ya...many many more.....

* = tested with installed properly in my laptop and no causing problem
(yes, i m big game tester XD)

please solve this TQ!

Hi Justincase,

If I understand correctly, you are just copying and pasting files for the modem software from one location to another, and then trying to run the EXE file?

This is bound to cause problems, as it is not the correct way to install an application on a Windows Operating System.

Please use the actual installer for Vodafone Mobile Connect (can be downloaded here) and use that instead of copying and pasting files around. The installer is responsible for placing driver files in the right places within the Windows System directories, as well as linking the necessary files in the Windows Registry, and adjusting system settings to work correctly.
