Problems with dongle!!

My Vodafone dongle appears not to be working!! It is out of credit so I am redirected to the vodafone website where I click on the 'buy a data pack' button, it then asks me to put in the number of my dongle, which I do and when I press enter it comes up with a message that makes no sense- java.lang.NullPointerException- and will not let me go any further. So I am currently without internet on my laptop and I need to send an assignment off!!! Please help. Miss Benson
