Proof of purchase

Bought phone on contract through Vodafone asked them to send me proof of ownership and they just send a typed documents. I need To remove iCloud of this phone. and keeps requiring password.  Password forgotten and apple said to remove apple iCloud of phone need to send receipt to show I am owner of phone they need to see monthly price imei serial number etc. Filled the online form

but they refused this as it not a proper receipt. Help please

This is the only help link I'm aware of when requesting this type of information from Vodafone

With iCloud being a security protocol one can't blame Apple for wanting to protect the iPhone.

As advised in the other thread, this will be your Sister's account and she will need to complete the information needed to prove identity to remove the icould account from the phone.

 

You are going to need your Sister's help.

Hi there I need to remove iCloud from my phone and Apple require original receipt i upgraded my contract by phone and was not provided with a receipt how can I get a copy of my receipt as they do not accept the proof of purchase form online

We need the original sales receipt to show proof of purchase of the product. To be considered valid, the receipt must include this information:

1. Reseller’s name, address, and phone number or website URL
2. Date of purchase when the product was originally sold
3. Itemized product information, including price and product serial number

The serial number can be typed or handwritten. If the reseller didn’t provide the serial number on the receipt, you can write the number on the receipt before you send it. For help finding your product’s serial number, see this article:

If your receipt doesn’t include the above list of information, you can try taking a screenshot of your online receipt. You can also contact the authorized reseller to get a copy of your receipt.

This is is what I received from Apple. Vodafone should be providing receipt as proof of purchase regards if you order online or by phone this is law

As this is a public forum, you might want to remove the serial number from your post.   If the Vodafone team can help, they'll send you a private message and you can give them personal information away from the gaze of the rest of the world. :smileywink:

They have just sent me another proof of purchase they will not accept this they told me to get a copy of my original contract
