Since receiving my Note 7 on the 2nd of September and still being unable to use it (signal problem with handset) then the subsequent recall, I must say I am shocked at the lack of infomation from both Samsung and Vodafone.
Mine is sitting here in it's box, I have been charged for it and charged for the usage, even though I have not been able to use it, I have spoken to CS a few times with very little help at all, one advisor said they had not heard of the recall!?! Seriously come on!
I like a few others I have read on this forum have arranged to sell their older devices to offset the cost of these Note 7's, which by the time we get them will be outdated, no doubt also worth a lot less than they would have being if this sorry state of affairs hadn't happened, but the does not deter from the fact that most of us bought these over inflated mobiles because they were the latest tech item available, we paid over the top to have them from day one, now we are being left behind by Apple once again.
Even more annoying is Vodafone's response, "you can always return the device with the free VR headset and cancel the contract" or you can order a different type of phone! Sorry I did an early upgrade because I wanted the Note 7, not an Apple or HTC device, Samsung and Vodafone have really screwed their customers over this, I appreciate it isn't al their own fault but the treatment of us customers since this started has being nothing more than a shambles and I think they need to be looking at compensating those affected by this.
Sadly those who had ordered and not received your device I feel even worse for you, now if you lived in America you could have had your replacement last Wednesday, yes 9 days ago, but us here in Europe are not as important as the Yanks.
Samsung have lost millions of orders for the new Note 7 to Apple from what I have seen, such a sad state of affairs, lets go back to readily replaceable batteries!

I appreciate how frustrating this must be for those that invested in that model.
It was one I was considering buying outright butafter the issues I chose the s7 edge
There has been announcements here on the forum concerning the Note 7.
I hope this is resolved asap for all those affected.

I have seen the announcements too but they have not relayed any advice as to how the exchange will be carried out, whether we have to return our old devices and wait for a replacement, or if it will be a doorstep exchange, and is the 19th the day it is happening or will it be another 2 weeks after then.
I already have the S7 Edge and only bought that because I couldn't get a Note 5 here in the UK, I have had every Note since Samsung first brought it out, and was really looking forward to this new one, this has since soured that experience

I imagine that getting the replacements sorted out is going to take a while to do and that everyone is being cautious waiting to see what stock is provided before actually announcing any plans. Do bear in mind that this situation has changed repeatedly since the first problems came to light.
Keep an eye on this thread as Vodafone are posting announcements regarding the Note 7 in there.

This problem has gone from bad to worse. Samsung is in the middle of a worldwide recall of millions of devices and it doesn't really know where those devices are or who owns them now.
In addtion, airlines are now refusing to carry the phones even in cargo.
and Hanjin, one of Korea's largest shipping lines, has gone bankrupt and this is having a huge effect on the worldwide container industry.
This will take a while to sort out.

I don't know where you get your information from but it is wrong. Samsung started a recall of all the phones globally and that includes the USA.
Customers in the USA can start exchanging their devices next week

It was an American friend that told me last week he had already done his exchange with the Samsung store in New York, so unless he is lying then I take his word for it, and I also read the very same online too, so unless you can prove otherwise I stand by my statement that Americans are getting their exchanges ahead of the UK and Europe, you make of that what you will, it tells me we here in Europe are not at the top of Samsungs tree!

@yorkie9668 You will see from this announcement in tbe Samsung USA website that they exchanges are waiting for CPSC approval. http://www.samsung.com/us/note7exchange/

I also think he got his exchange before all the hoo haa really took off, the airlines banning them etc, all I know is it could be the death knell for Samsung, I really hope not because imo there is no other manufacturer near as good at making the near perfect phone!

@yorkie9668 I can't see it being the death knell for Samsung. They are are multi billion dollar company that has diversified to cover many product ranges so they could write off the entire production of the Note 7 without causing major financial problems.
It will however have an impact on their shares and a big knock in the consumer confidence of anything Samsung that uses a battery,
