What is the official line from Vodafone on this?. Had the initial handset and the replacement, neither of which have had any issues and have been the best phone I've owned.
Media reports state to turn off the handset and return it, although given the abysmal customer service on the first recall by Vodafone, I'd like an official answer rather than the 5 or 6 different ones I seem to get everytime I call

We all are.. The Note 7 is the best phone I've used, It seems there are mixed messages everywhere. I'd prefer not to go through another 3 weeks and 30-40 phonecalls to understand what is going on.
If Vodafone agreed to stop the replacements due to conversations with Samsung surely one question should of been what do we tell customers that have the handset other than to turn them off. Especially when a few of the reported fires have been with handsets that were off and or not charging!.
This is going to be my final contract on Vodafone and unfortunately my final Samsung product. No company is perfect but the handling of this has been abysmal

There have been mixed messages coming from Samsung regarding whether to replace or not.
Firstly it was "Only devices in Korea" then it was "Some devices in the USA" then it was "We are looking into the problem" now it is to return the phones but they have not given any clear indication where the phone should be returned to. I assume it is via the network but there have been reports that they should go back to Samsung direct.
If you take a look at network boards around the world everyone is saying much the same thing "Help, what do we do now?"
Until Samsung get there act together and make a final recall announcement nobody is going to know how to proceed.

Samsung have cancelled the Note 7. It's a shame because it is probably the best phone on the market.
I'm going to go back to sim only, keep my old Note 4 and wait and see what comes out. I doubt I will return to Samsung after this. They did nothing to compensate inconvienence, and rushed the phone to market. I was going to buy other samsung appliances which I've now cancelled as well
Called customer service and Vodafone seem a little more clued up this time

Effectively 3 options
1) Keep the handset pending further detail from samsung but not use it (Doubtful given they have discontinued it)
2) Replace it with an S7 Edge or another handset
3) Hand it back/cancel or go sim only
I'm considering my options at the moment, I think I will probably go sim only and wait and see what handsets the new year brings

I phoned 191 and getting it swapped for a S7 Edge tomorrow
