Server error when signing up to Spotify entertainment pack

This has happened every time I try and choose to subscribe to spotify entertainment pack. I've tried both on my phone and via a desktop browser. I'm doing the following:

  • Go to https://offers.vodafone.com/gb
  • Select 'Spotify Premium' under available offers
  • Accept terms and conditions and click 'Add Spotify Premium Now'
  • Sign up to spotify and press 'okay' on 'Connect Vodafone to your Spotify account' screen
  • I'm returned to vodafone and the message says 'Completing purchase...' after a couple of seconds a popup appears on the screen saying 'A server error occurred. We're very sorry, but we'll need to log you in again'

We have 2 x Vodafone red 20GB sim only packages through our business account and this problem happens for both of them.

@HON_1987 I've checked our inbox, however couldn't see any emails from yourself via the email address registered within your profile.

I've sent a new private message with details on how to get in touch.

@carpy Thank you for letting us know the issue has been resolved.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused along the way.

@cgw52 Sorry to hear about this.

If you'd like us to help from our end, please get in touch using the details from the private message I've sent.

Same old story with me as well.

Just renewed my Vodafone bundle that includes Entertailment but no joy trying to get Spotify Premuim - link works OK at first but when selecting Spotify it comes back with "We're sorry, but there's been  problem".

I have spent the last 4 days at the Vodafone shop and on the phone to Tech Support but all that happens is that they resend the link (many times) and I am still getting the same old "there's been a problem" message.

I've been a Vodafone customer for 20 years and have two phones with them but my patience is at breaking point.  Can anyone help or do I need to complain to the Ombudsman/OfCom/Which?/Trading Standards before Vodafone take this seriously?

@JVC1 So we can help with this, please follow the instructions in the private message that will be sent to you shortly. A member of the team will then be in touch to help.

Natasha - no private message received yet, can you check when I can expect to get one.  Thank you.

You need to go directly to the ombudsman. Vodafone will send you back and forth for months and never solve the issue because their customer support agents are useless. I hounded Vodafone every day for months and spoke to over 50 different people and it never got fixed. Just the same promises day after day. A few days after you complain to the ombudsman the issues will miraculously be fixed.

If you keep re-adding the Spotify package to your account by clicking the link again and again then it confuses the system. You need to ring customer services saying that you need to speak to the "tracks" team (spelt TARCS apparently) who are the only people who can help. They will then reset your entertainments package account and the link should then work. None of the first line customer services muppets will have a clue what you are talking about. Don't allow them to get you to explain the problem again. Just asked to be put straight through to the entertainment package team who will then either speak to the tracks team on your behalf ( as technically customers are not allowed to speak to them directly) or if you are lucky, you will be accidentally put through yourself whereupon you shall experience custom service as it should be i.e. Speak to someone that a) knows what they are talking about and b) will sort the problem out. Make sure you r account is credited with a months credit for your troubles. Currently Vodafone appear to be paying me to use their service because of the multitude of ##~## ups though, quite frankly, I'd rather be paying them and receiving a trouble free service. The last 4 months has been a woeful experience.
