Sky MER and SS

Recently took out an iPhone SIM only tariff with VF and at the same time ordered a SS box as I knew there was no VF 3G at home (only get Edge)

 

I should have read these forums before ordering really as my ISP is Sky and my D-LINK Sky router was changed over to MER the other week, which apparently wont work with the SS box?

 

Are VF working on this issue, considering Sky are in the process of changing over all their Broadband users from PPPoA to MER?

Hi guys,

 

I've just had word back from our Sure Signal engineers that the new Sky IP ranges mentioned on the last page have now been added to our firewall whitelist.

 

Can anyone on Sky who was in that IP range please let me know if your Sure Signal is now working. You'll be able to check your IP address here. Please note that you may just need to reset your Sure Signal beforehand.

I can confirm this for you that our network specialists have looked into this issue and   have noticed that a new range was being used for Sky customers however this range wasn’t added to our firewall. This has now been amended and I am collating examples for our network teams to look into.

Could you provide the full IP address and I will add it to my list.

no change for me - SS box still not working (have performed 2 factory resets)

 

IP address is 2.216.202.193

I have reset my SS box and still have the flashing power light.

 

IP address is:  2.216.223.126

Sorry was not reading properly, the address is 2.216.223.67 not as previously stated

IP address 2.220.123.126 - this is for the actual sky router?

My VSS is now working again, thank you Voda.

 

Just to confirm to anyone reading this, I am with Sky Broadband, MER protocol, haven't altered the Sky router settings. VSS was down for 2 weeks after I moved to sky broadband and is now fully operational again.

 

All I did was post my IP address on this thread as requested and Voda appear to have solved it.
