Now sony have released lollipop how long before you approve it vodafone?
Happy to help!
Hi, vodafone wont comment on th release of updates before they are released, in case of a delay and they get slated for misleading customers.
Keep an eye on the blog for information.
So instead we'll just slate them for, again, being too slow to release updates thanks to their inane desire to add bloatware to the phone! I guess we're supposed to be thankful for their efforts!
Can Vodafone confirm if the hold-up happens on the carrier side or simply due to phased roll-out in different markets. There's a huge difference between these two reasons.
Having checked, the firmware is currently only available to Baltic and Scandanavian regions, Sony are clearly phasing the rollout.
However, that being said... Lollipop on the Z3 is a HUGE improvement over Kitkat. I absolutely love it! Just a shame Sony haven't (yet) done anything to impliment the new Camera API. I'm guessing that will come with the release of the Z4 later this summer.

Hi, as has been said many times on this forum Vodafone will not comment on the release date of any firmware update.
The official statement on firmware is here
Keep an eye here for updates
That blog post keeps getting touted as being of some use. Clearly, if you search for "lollipop", it isn't because there isn't a single "update" on there in relation to such a firmware update for ANY manufacturer.
So please stop going on about it as if Vodafone actually cares about updating their customers!
As I mentioned above, if you're on a sim free phone the update is already available to you. There's no need to wait and the update takes about 30 minutes to complete. Just google it ;o)
Sony Mobile UK has released the Lollipop update as of 30/03/2015 (finally!). http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/xperiaz3compact/software/
The pressure is now on Vodafone!
The list of operators in EMEA is growing too, as more and more release the firmware.
This has taken them just over a week to release.... c'mon Vodafone, don't be last :-)
@GerardWay wrote:Any updates about Lollipop? It's been almost two weeks..
Hi, Vodafone will not give dates for firmware releases, no matter how many times people ask, if they miss the date they get slated so they wont do it.
They could say at the least if they are testing the firmware!
Happy to help!
Well, obviously Vodafone in other countries have recevied the last few new updates....
ES, HU and GR currently have a custom build that's been released (a bug fix I assume)
As you can see, DE and UK are still running 2 builds behind the release from Sony
So Vodafone are working on the roll out..... just the UK and DE are very slow.
If you ever want to see that latest relased & certified builds from Sony, for the D6603, you can view them here: https://ptcrb.com/vendor/complete/view_complete_request_guest.cfm?modelid=26395
Please note that although they are certified, that doesn't mean they are available for the public to download/install.
You can use a tool on this forum to check the latest availalbe release that's installable http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/pc-xperifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t283414...
(This post comes with no warranty. If you follow any guides on how to manually install the firmware, you are on your own)
Yeah Sony have tweeted that it is going to be release this Wednesday/Thursday 14/15th april 2015! I'd hold tight for a bit as a few users on youtube are reporting some bugs. Worth a watch before updating your phone as you will loose some features i believe.
