Spotify Premium - Server Error

Hi all,

 

i have recently renewed my Vodafone contract which comes with the option for free Spotify, but I am having an absolute nightmare getting it to work. 

 

I appreciate this isnt a new issue, but I have read quite a few posts now and have had no luck.

 

Every time I make my selection for Spotify on the Entertainment site and being redirected back after accepting the Spotify element i get “a server error has occurred” (see pic below).

I have now used the online chat twice, speaking to three people, and called once which resulted in my speaking to one of Vodafone’s technical helpers.

 

Including their advice and the forum posts I have:

• Recieved three separate links to the entertainment site (actually the same link).

• Waited 1 hour, 2 hours, 24 hours etc.

• Had the entertainment system ‘reset’ three times.

• Made my entertainment selection on my iPhone using 4G and WiFi.

• Installed chrome on my iPhone and tried using that (again on 4G and WiFi).

• Tried making the selection on my laptop.

• Turned my phone off and on.

• Deleted and reinstalled Spotify on my phone.

• Changed my spotify password.

• Spoken to spotify who have confirmed that my premium has been cancelled and I have a free account (and the aweful adverts have returned).

 

I am now really not sure what I can do. I have a lot of travelling to do over this Christmas period, so being unable to download and use the premium service is really going to make things miserable. 

 

Hopefully thoigh, someone has got a fantastic solution up their sleave!

I have no idea how this was resolved, but a call from the Vodafone Tech guys resolved my issue (second time round mind you).

 

All I had to do was reply to the Vodafone Mods private message and wait 48 hours . Sorry that I cannot provide more detail, but if you have a similar issue posting it on the forum seems to have worked for me.

I've had the same problem. Been I formed via live chat that it is Spotify not Vodafone. I'm not convinced . Told issue with Spotify has been resolved but guess what still same error message. Looking at canceling contract over this. Just getting palmed off by Vodafone by the sound of it. Let me know if anyone has any luck
