Hi All
I have got a Vodafone PAYG dongle, that receives emails fine and will go on the net fine, but it won't send emails. I put up a post on here, and was advised to set my out going server to send.vodafone.net , which worked fine for a while, but now has stopped working, I put that up as a post and was advised to use my existing smtp settings, with authetication turned on, but this still didn't work.
I have now read on here that you can use vodafone360, to send emails. I have signed up to 360, and have recieved an authorisation sms, I also recieved an email asking me to confirm my email address, which I have done, but i did not recieve any further emails confirming that all was ok. I set my out going server to smtp.360.com and to smtp.vodafone360.com and tried to send an email, but neither settings worked. Can sombody please tell me the exact settings (in idiots form) I need to enter to get the email to work correctly>, as this is starting to drive me mad now.
Many Thanks
pmac.

After reading elsewhere that if I create a 360 account I can access the 360 server but still use my existing email addresses I have tried to create an account. This has failed because there is no option to enter a dongle in the phone model section, so my application is rejected.
Any advice
Thanks

Hi All
Thanks for all your help, I have tried everything you have suggested, but still no luck, the best I can get is when I enter all the data into my settings and try to send an email, the username and pass box pops up, I then enter my password and click, the box dissapears, and then comes straight back, and will not send the email.
You also mention using SSL, which my system doesn't have, I have SPA, is this the same thing?
I am using outlook on Vista, and my settings are as follows
Your Name
Your Email Address
Server Info
Incoming Mail Server
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
Login Info
User Name
Password
Remember Password Y/N
Require Logon Using Secure Password Authentication SPA Y/N
Outgoing Server
My Outgoing Server SMTP Requires Authentication Y/N
Log In Using Same Settings As Incomming Mail Sever Y/N
Log In Using
User Name
Pasword Y/N
Require Secure Password Authentication SPA Y/N
Log On To Incoming Mail Server Before Sending Mail Y/N
I am getting really fed up with this now, I only want to send Emails while I am working away from home, any help gratefully recieved. If this is going to drag on like this is it worth getting another dongle like 02 or T mobile, can any one reccomend a good one that sends emails?
Many Thanks
