Sure Signal 2 - System light flashing

Hi,

Ive recently changed to a sure signal 2, from a 3 as my broadband provider has changed and upload speeds are slower - apparently the 3 cant handle below 1.5Mb ish

Having registered the device and forwarded ports on the router as per various instructions, all I am still getting is the system light continuously flashing.

We have a point to point wireless broadband - not ADSL and not satellite and after a call to customer service last week I was instructed to setup the router for the following.

PPTP Passthrough Enabled

VPN Passthrough Enabled

IPSec Passthrough Enabled

MTU 1480 up to 1500

This had to be done by the broadband company as the routers are not avialable to end users - My intenral netgear is for the port forwarding, but not the 'external' wireless one on the house.

My sure signal serial is as follows 40120209362.

If anyone has any thoughts or is able to see anything at the vodafone end I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Hi @SimonOA

With this light flashing it means that the Vodafone Sure Signal is configuring.

Ben_H means that the Sure Signal has connected to the network.

I would recommend de registering the Sure Signal and re registering it.

If this is still not working please let us know the light sequence you can see, mentioning what’s happening with all three lights.

Cheers,

Laura

Hi,

i have de-registered and now re-registered the sure signal and plugged back in and still have exactlly the same problems.

Any more advice please?

Hi @SimonOA

Please can you try an alternative Ethernet cable?

Thanks,

Simon

Hi,

Have tried that and still the same.

Can you guys please let me know if there is anything else at your end showing other than 'registered'.  Everything else you have asked for has been done in terms of ports etc and we are getting no-where.

Thanks

Hi @SimonOA,

From this side, everything looks fine. There's nothing obvious standing out as to what the issue could be.

Please try the Sure Signal at an alternative location, so that we can rule out a fault with the device itself.

Thanks,

Kay
