Hi my sure signal has stopped working after 4 years.  but have installed a new router from TALKTALK, it worked ok for a couple of days then has stopped. Its a Huawei HG633.  I can see the sure signal on the router and i have a internet connection but all i get is a red flashiing light.  Have tired resetting the sure signal and resetting the router too.  Does anyone have any ideas before I condemm the sure signal ?

thanks

Sarah

Hi,

It maybe worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10.

From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

It's sorted now. Added a port forwarding rule and was working within a couple of minutes.

Hi Sarah,#

Thanks for that but what did you put in the boxes for External and Internal ports?

Thanks

I've only got an internal host and that's my sure signal. Selected from the drop down box. In application I've got SNMP TRAP.

Hope this helps.
