Whilst on holiday for a week my sure signal was cancelled for some reason. As I live in very poor network coverage area I dont get any reception without it so as soon as I got home I re-registered it and it says its active but it doesnt appear to be boosting the reception at all. I pressed the reset button 24 hours ago and all its done since then is flash all the lights at me and I have virtually no mobile reception. Endless attempts at online chat have proved hopeless (Currently a 52 minute wait for someone to even respond). My phone also dropped out of the 3G network and wouldnt receive calls (another phone call to vodafone) and they made me reset it to work only on 2G which basically I cant get here.
Any advice welcome. It was all working ok till Vodafone decided to just stop it.

Hello @sandrab38
Please take a look through these Sure Signal Trouble Shooting threads :
https://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Vodafone-Sure-Signal-troubleshooting/td-p/23917...
as these may help to resolve issues. They have links to the key things you can do to try and self resolve the issue you are experiencing.
It may also be worth trying a different power supply with the SureSignal (Version 1 & 2 ), as there have been some reports of replacement power supplies solving the issues. Even if lights / power are showing. They are available on eBay for around £10.
From member cineriv "But firstly, have a look around for a suitable unit with a 12 Volt output @ around 1.5Amp capacity that you could 'borrow' to prove the fault. Suitable units can be found on external hard drives, monitors, printers, routers etc.etc."

Hi
This is obviously your standard response. Not helpful. I have already reset the Sure signal. It says its registered and active on my account.
I dont understand any of the stuff it says on your link about port set up and anyway it worked fine until Vodafone chose to shut it down.
Your online chat now says 101 minutes for someone to respond. As this will be the third evening Ive had to try and sort this out, I am pretty fed up. I missed an important meeting yesterday as they couldnt get hold of me at home on my mobile. Unless you pull your fingers out Vodafone, Im off to EE next month

No apologies necessary at all.
I totally understand how frustrating circumstances like yours can be.
Sometimes with a V1 or V2 Sure Signal the defining factor is the power supply which is why it's suggested to try another power source.

Still not working despite changing power supply.

Hi @sandrab38
Thank you for trying another power supply.
Vodafone would only typically place a bar ("Cancel") a Sure Signal if it hadn't been used for 3 months as per the information in this link below. The link also provides further help and advice.
My-sure-signal-has-stopped-working-what-should-I-do.
In my first reply to you I added a link to a troubleshooting guide.
One of the choices was 'Issue-not-listed.' This option allows you to use a template to post some results which can be copy and pasted back here for the Vodafone Tech Team to take a look.
Hopefully it's not a case of your Sure Signal going faulty which could maybe mean it needs replacing. Vodafone apply a 24 Month Warranty on Sure Signal Devices.

@sandrab38 Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, as mentioned by @BandOfBrothers and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?
