Alcatel Lucent model 9361. Part number 3JR09113ABBA
I returned home today to find that my Sure Signal has no lights and is emitting a low pitched hum and a burning smell. I have now switched it off and learn from various other threads on here that this is a known fault. I need this for work, as no coverage in my village, but am concerned that a replacement will be dangerous.
Am I expected to buy another unit or will this be replaced as clearly this is a common and known fault. Why have all the existing units not been recalled?
My serial number is 42141618183.
thanks
Nick

Hi @nickclowe
Please unplug the SS.
Phone Customer Service On 191 and they will deal with this for you.
The SS has a 24 Month Manufacturing Warranty but they’ll still deal with v3 SS that show this issue if they are past the 24 months.
They havent been recalled as not all are affected imo.
This is a long running thread with info in.

Hi
Unless enough users report failed devices to Trading Standards then there will be no chance of any voluntary recall of the product.
You state the device was humming? Do you still have it available for testing independently?
Please ensure that you report yours to Trading Standards and read page one of my thread which clearly states any failed device will be replaced, an agreement they arefailing to adhere to without a fight.
It is important to report all failed SureSignal V3 using the links below to:
